Craig Campbell, Fish Lyrics.

Artist: Craig Campbell
Song: Fish
Album: Craig Campbell

The first time we did it I was scared to death
She snuck out in that cotton dress
Jumped on in and we drove to the lake
Put her hand on my knee and said I can’t wait
I had everything we needed in the bed of my truck
Turns out my baby loves to…

[Chorus:]
Fish, she wants to do it all the time
Early in the morning, in the middle of the night
She’s hooked and now she can’t get enough
Man, that girl sure loves to fish

After that that’s all she wanted to do
But that was okay ‘cause I did too
She always wants to go down by the dam
And I love how she looks with that rod in her hand
If they ain’t bitin’ she don’t give up
Turns out my baby loves to…

[Chorus:]
Fish, she wants to do it all the time
Early in the morning, in the middle of the night
She’s hooked and now she can’t get enough
Man, that girl sure loves to fish

I love to see her silhouette reflectin’ off the water
With her hooks and her sinkers and her pretty pink bobbers
The first time I saw her I knew I was in love
‘Cause I found a girl who loves to…

Fish, I love to see her lyin’
There on the bank ‘neath the full moon light
Man, I can’t even believe my luck
I found a girl who loves to…

[Chorus:]
Fish, she wants to do it all the time
Early in the morning, in the middle of the night
She’s hooked and now she can’t get enough
Man, that girl sure loves to fish
Yeah, I know she loves to fish
Psst, you awake, let’s fish

Rodney Crowell, “I Couldn’t Leave You if I Tried.” Official Full Length Country Music Video with Lyrics.

Rodney Crowell, I Couldn’t Leave You if I Tried Lyrics.

Artist: Rodney Crowell
Song: I Couldn’t Leave You if I Tried
Album: Diamonds & Dirt

The sun is coming up and I’m just going down
Everywhere I look the world keeps turning ’round
Though I said I never would be satisfied
Baby I lied I couldn’t leave you if I tried

Sometimes I get lost out on this sad old town
And every bridge I cross just turns me upside down
And every stumbling step I take back to your side
Hurts my pride I couldn’t leave you if I tried

Well I could not walk away no matter what I say
I won’t be leaving believe it or don’t
You’re all that I want

Tears may fall but after all is said and done
Darlin’ please believe me you’re the only one
And I’ll admit mistakes I’ve made me realize
Baby I lied I couldn’t leave you if I tried

I won’t be leaving you no matter what I do
I’m gonna see it through ’til the end
And do it again

Years may come and friends may go but that’s OK
Darlin’ you’re the only one I need to stay
I know I said I never would be satisified
Baby I lied I couldn’t leave you if I tried
I couldn’t leave you if I tried

Crossin Dixon, “Guitar Slinger” Official Full Length Country Music Video with Lyrics.

Music video by Crossin Dixon performing Guitar Slinger. (C) 2007 Broken Bow Records.

Crossin Dixon, Guitar Slinger Lyrics.

Artist: Crossin Dixon
Song: Guitar Slinger
Album: Crossin Dixon

I got southern comfort runnin’ through my veins
My mama was the wind
And my daddy was the train
I’m the second coming of the midnight rider
I’m a modern-day, old soul singer
Son of a gun and guitar slinger

Spent ten years pickin’ on a six string
Working the bar seed, burnin’ it down to the ground
Lookin’ for a sound that ain’t been found by no one else
Stickin’ true to myself

So I took it up the highway south bound interstate
Counting on a big break, trickin’ my licks for tips
Learning to live like I never did
I was dead broke like a bad joke

Chorus:
I got southern comfort runnin’ through my veins
My mama was the wind
And my daddy was the train
I’m the second coming of the midnight rider
I’m a modern-day, old soul singer
Son of a gun and guitar slinger

I thought I found the right thing sittin’ in the wrong town
Out in the crowd, throwin’ all the signs with her eyes
Looking mighty fine in the light of a honky tonk
Just singing along

But I never had the chance ’cause after the last song
We had to get along down the road with the show
Doing it again with new friends under the spotlight

Chorus:
I got southern comfort runnin’ through my veins
My mama was the wind
And my daddy was the train
I’m the second coming of the midnight rider
I’m a modern-day, old soul singer
Son of a gun and guitar slinger

I got southern comfort runnin’ through my veins
My mama was the wind
And my daddy was the train
I’m the second coming of the midnight rider
I’m a modern-day, old soul singer
Son of a gun and guitar slinger

I got southern comfort runnin’ through my veins
I’m the second coming of the midnight rider
I’m a modern-day, old soul singer
Son of a gun and guitar slinger

Crossin Dixon, I Love My Old Bird Dog (& I Love You) Lyrics.

Artist: Crossin Dixon
Song: I Love My Old Bird Dog (& I Love You)
Album: Crossin Dixon

Sometimes I’m mad at the world
Mad at this town
Mad ’cause I can’t lose the same five pounds
That I’ve been tryin’ to lose for three or four years now.

Sometimes I feel like a truck that just won’t run
On the side of the road in the July sun
There ain’t another car for miles
That I can thumb down.

I guess every now and then
You’re going to land on a bad day
Though I still do
I know I can’t complain.

‘Cause I love what I do
Love where I’m at
Love a strong cup of coffee and my old black hat
My big wool blanket
Sleepin’ in my cowboy boots
I love my old bird dog
I like to watch him run
My red guitar I bang around on some
And I love lovin’ you
Baby, I love lovin’ you.

Now heaven to me it’s a simple thing
It’s just you and me
And a phone that don’t ring
Popcorn poppin’ on a lay around Friday night.

Seein’ you smile when I wake up
The way you slide to the middle of my pick-up truck
The way you say baby, it’s all gonna be all right
When I walk in at the end of a worn out day
And I see you baby, how can I complain.

‘Cause I love what I do
Love where I’m at
Love a strong cup coffee and my old black hat
My big wool blanket
Sleepin’ in my cowboy boots
I love my old bird dog
I like to watch him run
My red guitar I bang around on some
And I love lovin’ you
Baby, I love lovin’ you
Yes I do.

Well, I love where I’ve been
But I don’t look back
I thank God for the life he lets me have
My big wool blanket
Sleepin’ in my cowboy boots
I love my old bird dog
I like to watch him run
My red guitar I bang around on some
And I love lovin’ you
Baby, I love lovin’ you.

Baby, I love,
lovin’ you
Oh yes I do.
Love lovin’ you.

Cross Canadian Ragweed, Fightin’ For Lyrics.

Artist: Cross Canadian Ragweed
Song: Fightin’ For
Album: Garage

Well it’s late, and you know I’ve been up drinkin,
Talkin to myself up and down the hall.
Ain’t it great, another fabulous disaster.
Well I can’t wait, for the next hammer fall.

You may have won this battle baby,
But it don’t mean I won’t win the war.
And you, you don’t even know what it is that you’re fightin for.

Well it’s early, I know you’ve been up waitin,
Waitin for me to finally call.
Talkin dirty, it ain’t what you really wanted,
To slam another phone up against the wall.

You may have won this battle baby,
But it don’t mean I won’t win the war.
And you, you don’t even know what it is that you’re fightin for.

Well think about me when you’re out there honey,
You know sometimes that I will.
Sometimes I feel like a broken stone rollin down your hill.

You may have won this battle baby,
But it don’t mean I won’t win the war.
And you, you don’t even know what it is that you’re fightin for.

Cross Canadian Ragweed, Alabama Lyrics.

Artist: Cross Canadian Ragweed
Song: Alabama
Album: Soul Gravy

She picked up the telephone
All she heard was dial tone
She really thought she heard it ring this time
She said what am I thinking I must be only dreaming
Or maybe it’s the hundred times he’s crossed my mind
Just tonight

(Chorus)

She said maybe I miss your lovin’
Maybe I miss your kiss just a little bit
Maybe I miss your body lyin’ right next to mine
Maybe I miss your touch a little too much

Tossing and turning her skins still burning
From the fire in his hands
Runnin’ on empty she needs somebody
But somebody wouldn’t understand
Then the telephone rings

(Chorus)

They talked about Savannah
Sweet home Alabama
And how he missed the way she always smiled
Are you coming back soon
By the Harvest moon
If I have to walk every mile on my knees

(Chorus)

Cross Canadian Ragweed, Don’t Need You Lyrics.

Artist: Cross Canadian Ragweed
Song: Don’t Need You
Album: Cross Canadian Ragweed

I gotta mind to go back to that drawin’ board
Maybe we should start it all over again
When you were you and I was me
And we weren’t both bored
Or pack it up
And call it off as friends

Look at you
High on your pedestal
Getting’ off on looking down on me
Our situation’s gone from bad to critical
And I think it’s time one of us started movin’ our feet

Chorus:
I don’t need you criticizing me
I don’t need you walkin’ all over me
I don’t need you always tellin’ me what to do
And I don’t need you

Neither one of us is better than the other
You got that thought rollin’ through your brain
You hate me – sometimes I see double
Now the other side of me can’t be contained

(Repeat Chorus)

The truth be known
I could smoke you where you’re standin’
But what kind of good would be done then
Rip off my gloves and do it bare handed
But then again, I’d feel better in the end

(Repeat Chorus)

(Repeat Chorus)

Nickel Creek, “This Side.” Official Full Length Country Music Video with Lyrics.

Music video by Nickel Creek performing This Side.

Nickel Creek, This Side Lyrics.

Artist: Nickel Creek
Song: This Side
Album: This Side

One day you’ll see her and you’ll know what I mean.
Take her or leave her she will still be the same.
She’ll not try to buy you with her time.
But nothing’s the same, as you will see when she’s gone.

It’s foreign on this side,
And I’ll not leave my home again.
There’s no place to hide
And I’m nothing but scared.

You dream of colors that have never been made,
You imagine songs that have never been played.
They will try to buy you and your mind.
Only the curious have something to find.

It’s foreign on this side,
And the truth is a bitter friend.
But reasons few have I to go back again.

Your first dawn blinded you, left you cursing the day.
Entrance is crucial and it’s not without pain.
There’s no path to follow, once you’re here.
You’ll climb up the slide and then you’ll slide down the stairs.

It’s foreign on this side,
But it feels like I’m home again.
There’s no place to hide
But I don’t think I’m scared.
(there’s no place to hide)
(there’s no place to hide)
But I don’t think I’m scared.
(there’s no place to hide)
But I don’t think I’m scared…

Nickel Creek, “The Lighthouse’s Tale.” Official Full Length Country Music Video with Lyrics.

Music video by Nickel Creek performing The Lighthouse’s Tale.

Nickel Creek, The Lighthouse’s Tale Lyrics.

Artist: Nickel Creek
Song: The Lighthouse’s Tale
Album: Nickel Creek

I am a lighthouse worn by the weather and the waves
I keep my lamp lit to warn the sailors on their way
I’ll tell a story, paint you a picture from my past
I was so happy but joy in this life seldom lasts

I had a keeper, he helped me warn the ships at sea
We had grown closer ’til his joy meant everything to me
And he was to marry a girl who shown with beauty and light
They loved each other, and with me watched the sunsets into nights

And the waves crashing around me
The sand slips out to sea
And the winds that blow remind me
Of what has been and what can never be

She’d had to leave us; my keeper, he prayed for a safe return
But when the night came, the weather to a raging storm had turned
He watched her ship fight, but in vain against the wild and terrible wind
And me so helpless, as dashed against the rocks she met her end

And the waves crashing around me
The sand slips out to sea
And the winds that blow remind me
Of what has been and what can never be

Then on the next day, my keeper found her washed up on the shore
He kissed her cold face, and that they’d be together soon he swore
I saw him crying, watched as he buried her in the sand
Then he climbed my tower, and off the edge of me he ran

And the waves crashing around me
The sand slips out to sea
And the winds that blow remind me
Of what has been and what can never be

I am a lighthouse worn by the weather and the waves
And though I’m empty I still warn the sailors on their way
